Comments:
I,m an old school mechanic +50 yrs- I ,ve always loved 10si style gm alternators for their rebuilability, but was tired of having to jury rig them to fit fords, now I don't have to- and- the 140 amp low rpm regulator gives my old 81 f150 stepside the amps it needs ,with plenty to spare for future electrical projects such as fuel pumps and such. the only problem I found was that the finish around the mounting faces was too good and needed to be filed slightly to make better contact with the mounting ears on the mount- you may have to clock the rear housing so try to keep this in mind when ordering, although this is an easy fix -if- you know what your doing- also the rebuild kits for these need to be edited by the company to reflect whether the 7000a or 7000b repair kit goes with a particular alternator- love this product and would recommend it highly
